Happy 22nd Chic!
August 27th, 2010 § Leave a Comment
We celebrated Chic’s birthday as a conclusion to our adventures! I think it’s the 3rd time we celebrated a birthday in Nanay Bebeng’s! As usual, buffet overload!
As usual, their dessert table was a hit for us! Leche flan, and mangoes and cream FTW! Also, their Kare Kare – pork and beef – are delicious!
Here we go again with plate stacking!
Eleat was joined by Chic’s mom, Tita Elena, and Chic’s best friend since grade school, Yen. Cheers to kababuyan!
We didn’t want the night to end yet, so we decided to go to K1 again for some Wii action!
We played Tennis, Boxing, Bowling and Golf! Chic said we were soooo competitive. I was like… YEAH?!
The doctors were only supposed to stay for “10 minutes” because they had to study. But they stayed for a whole hour! RB, Donna, Chic and I decided to finish a couple more Tennis matches before we left.
Yellow was obviously “COLOR OF THE NIGHT”.
Another great night with the bestest friends in the world! Thank you Eleat!
Happy birthday Chicababes!

River (ROCK!) Tubing
August 25th, 2010 § Leave a Comment
I therefore conclude that we are not the luckiest group when it comes to water-related adventures.
The first time we tried bonding over an extreme sport, we went White Water Rafting during the summer. Result: low water level. The second time we attempted it, there was no water at all for River Tubing in Danao, Bohol! And just last weekend, we went River Tubing to very low water levels that felt like we were Rock Tubing instead! LOL.
As mentioned, Chic was in town for the weekend. And she arranged for us to go River Tubing for Sunday – we all said yes around midnight the day before! Talk about SHORT NOTICE!
The River Tubing guides brought us to the middle of nowhere. Just to give you an idea of how primitive the place we were brought to:
One way roads! OMG. The motorcyle with sooo many cargoes had to stop so we could pass through, and the guides had to help push so the motorcycle could cotinue moving up the mountain!
And oh, since Omay and Donna were not able to join us, I brought my siblings Karl and Kim to tag along.
When we got to the drop-off point, we still had to trek the mountain carrying our tubes (salbabida!) to get to the river for like 15 minutes!
After the trek, imagine how happy we were to finally see the river!
But OMG would you look at the river! WHERE IS THE WATER?! I saw PAGASA share this weather forecast on TV (for Kadayawan): Expect rain and thunder for the whole weekend. UHMM. YEAH. WHATEVER.
But WEEE. We still had a lot of fun (and cuts and bruises)!
Though the water level was very low – the rapids were still super awesome!
Looked fun, eh? The most exciting thing about River Tubing is that aside from your vest and helmet, there is nothing anchoring you to your tube! So anytime you encounter a rough rock, or a really strong rapid, I wouldn’t be surprised if you capsize – THAT’S THE BEST PART, THOUGH! I couldn’t even begin to count how many times I fell off the tube! However, I fell even before I got to the “best bend” among the rapids! HUHU
There was this really cool “pool” right before the last major rapid! If you don’t fall off the tube often, you won’t really get wet. But well, while I fell and fell – I still jumped and jumped and jumped! I loves it!
The low-down: RIVER (or ROCK! hehe) TUBING is super fun! It’s a bit painful and slow when the water level is low, but I’m pretty sure it’s gonna be wet and wild when the river is flooded! It’s a definite must try! It’s cheap, so you have to bear with roughing it! Go go go!

Whistle Top
May 23rd, 2010 § Leave a Comment
There is this bar in MTS that I used to go to back in high school. Lately, my friends and I had been frequenting the place because it’s cozy and we like the cocktails.
May 12
After having dinner at Penong’s we decided to go to MTS for some bonding moments. We went to Blugre at first, but since there were no seats enough for 8 of us and the others had wanted to drink, we decided to head to Whistle Top for some chillax moments.
We ordered a pitcher of Orgasm. It’s like this Bailey’s and Rhum mix. NOM NOM NOM. But the most fun part is not in the drink itself, but with the cherry’s that came with the glass – or rather, the cherry stems! You know what they say about cherry stems, right? That once you’re able to tie a knot using your tongue, then you’re a very good kisser! It was so fun because when one of us suddenly gets quiet, you know he or she is trying their hand at tying it! No one seemed to succeed that night though. LOL
But we had a few worse-than-Cinderella people that night. Cams, Telaw, Rey and Lady had to leave by 10PM. After they left, Bryan, Nigel, Mae and I moved to a smaller booth and had more drinks. I ordered another cocktail: Coitus (I loved!) while they had soda and some pica-pica. After a while, we decided to walk around the park and have a little bonding moment before heading home. Weee. Good times!

May 19
Earlier that week, RB and I decided to watch a movie. We both wanted to watch “Here Comes The Bride” but Omay said she wouldn’t be able to join us til the weekend, and Frank wouldn’t be back til Wednesday. We made plans to watch Last Song on Wednesday so Omay will be around for the funny movie, but as usual our plans didn’t go according to plan! While we were having dinner at Yellow Cab that evening (their double baked potatoes were TDF!!! just saying), we decided to text Omay and tell her to just watch HCTB that night. Lucky for us she was out with her family that night and they’ll be heading for SM after dinner so yeah. Movie night Wednesday! We loved the movie! It was super funny! The photo above was taken using self-timer in the middle of the mall. Thank you cotton candy stall for the patungan ng camera!
Bryan joined us after the movie. We brought Omay home and then we headed back to Whistle Top again for some cocktails.
It was the first time I tried Mai Tai. Lady had the B-52 and it was smokin’! And that’s Frank having an orgasm in the second row, middle photo. LOL
We wanted to go back there while Frank, Lady and I were out on Wednesday, but Bryan took us somewhere more memorable. LOL.

Party Pilipinas in Davao
May 4th, 2010 § Leave a Comment
First of all, I just want to say: KAPAMILYA ALL THE WAY.
Last Sunday, Party Pilipinas was in Davao. Unilever was a sponsor because of the launch of the Best Ever Sunsilk, so we got VIP passes. It was in the middle of the day when the sun is at its hottest. BOO. Say hello to the Unilever people at the show:
So anyway, before the program started, one of the staff picked three from our group to pose as fans for Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera. Guess who got picked? WAAA. Here’s the video of all the embarrassment I’ve experienced! (Note the shades and the hat to hide ze face. LOL)
A lot of my friends and family kept texting me that they saw me on TV! Hahaha. Just to clarify things, I AM NOT A DONG-YAN FAN. And the whole thing was scripted so whatever. HAHA. *Defensive mode*
Say hello the pretend fans, Glen, Chinny and I!
So anyway, despite the heat, I had fun. It was fun making fun (huh?) of our knowledge, or the lack thereof, about GMA talents. We didn’t finish the show by the way. The show was not worth staying under the scorching sun for much longer. A while after the Sunsilk launch, we left for the so much cooler mall nearby.
okthxbye
Down to the Sea We Go
February 22nd, 2010 § 1 Comment
What better way to spend the weekend than sliding down into the sea with your very best friends?
Above is a collage of the highlight of Eleat’s Sunday Fun at Maxima. Click on the photo to maximize it.
You can check out the full photo album in my Multiply, but if you insist, below are selected photos from our adventure.
Lady’s Thanksgiving Party
February 17th, 2010 § Leave a Comment
I finally bought a card reader this afternoon! YAY. So here it goes, photo-flood from the party celebrating Lady’s success in passing the November 2009 Nursing Licensure Exam.
Fresh from Davao. I’m obviously travel weary (that’s just how I phrase please-forgive-my-super-ugly-face), while Lady is so dolled up! She was even wearing a dress!
The Fontilla’s/Flauta’s are so social! They have a big bean-shaped pool! That’s Frank and RB in our table at the far side of the pool.
The First Family: Audrey, Tita Bing, Tito Joselito & JB
Later that night, RB will drop dead (figuratively) because of what Lady is holding.
The bubwitz and the men of Eleat with our new friend, Tim (Fatima), Lady’s friend from Siliman.
The Dancing Family! We helped move the tables to create a dance floor!
Bonding moments with the Fontilla bubwitz.
ELEAT bonding moment in Midsayap. BLACK is the color of the night!
I made a fool of myself by going up front to sing 3 songs with Frank and Lady. After those performances, I am not sure if I still have the guts to go back there! LOL
Pushing Lady and RB (fully dressed!) in the pool started all the fun! We went in at 11pm, and went out at around 2am already! And it’s only because we couldn’t stand the chill anymore! And RB already passed out (and gotten sick) in one of the tables.
We were still boozing in the pool. Lady’s dad and his friends were boozing in the tables, and they were so funny because they kept on warning us not to go to the deep side of the pool. At first we thought they were worried that we getting drunk but after a few warnings, we realized it was them who were sooo drunk! So funny!
This is RB – after we encouraged him to changes after he got sick in one of the tables outside. He slept as soon as I got him inside our room. He was too drunk!
Before lights off, Lady was seen pulling hair off Frank’s chin. Now that’s friendship! HAHA.
And to end this post, I present to you the very essence of Eleat friendship: FOOD. It wouldn’t be an Eleat outing without hoards of food!
This is what our table looked like after the second round. There were more rounds after – and we even brought the tempuras and sushi with us at the pool! And just an idea how much food were served:
Hit of the night was Tita Bing’s Tuna Fettuccini, and the lechon! And the tempura! And everything! The Flauta/Fontilla family could start a catering business and I’m 200000000% sure it would be a hit!

Nature Tripping
February 15th, 2010 § 1 Comment
Who would ever think that my barkada’s first road trip will be to Midsayap, North Cotabato? Frank, RB and I conquered Lady’s hometown!
On our first last day there, we went nature tripping with the Fontilla’s!
We woke up late on Sunday! We didn’t have time to take a bath when we all forced ourselves inside Sam, RB’s red Picanto and ELEAT’s new baby, to Lady’s grandfather’s resting place in their farm in Glad.
It was definitely a back-to-nature experience for us!
We crossed grassy lands and fish ponds! Lady warned us of snakes though – scary! Thank God we weren’t attacked by any!
Midsayap, the land of coconut trees! LOL.
There was this patch of withered grass on our way to the edge of the farm. It was weird because beyond that patch of grass, it was all green!
We ended up in the rice fields. Harvest time was finished already so this is what greeted us.
We definitely saw signs of El Nino. The land was dry and cracked!
Who could resist cam whoring in an open field under the blue blue blue sky and the Cotabato sun?
I took a photo op with Sam before we embark him on another 4 hour journey back home. She had been so good to us!
Before heading back to the Flauta’s place, we stopped by the local church. It was so purdeee! Both the outside…
…and the inside!
Yay for long time friends and road trips to thought-to-be war zones of the island!
Photo credits to Lady. Watch out for my post about the night of Lady’s party.
okthxbye
Sunday’s Aqua Fun
February 8th, 2010 § 1 Comment
It’s been a long time since my family and I went out of town for some outdoor adventure!
My dad was home for the weekend and he decided we should go to Maxima for some water fun all day! FINALLY!
Of course the major attraction was the giant slide or The Abyss! The number one rule at the resort: “NO LIFE VEST, NO SLIDE, NO SWIMMING” as the water is really deep!
According to my dad, every slide is different! You fall in different positions and get hurt in different parts of your body depending on the impact – butt, things, head, etc.

We all know the phrase “Thank God It’s Friday” and really, thank God it is!
Today was my first time to drive in the rain alone. And it was also my first time to go home after dark.
Amazingly, it was a productive day. I started work super early. I was able to get the merchandises that I needed, and then made my planned deliveries for the day. I had lunch with my ULP gang (LOL) and then headed of to the office to laze around and do random work. I was also able to talk to my boss about a few things for a while, and we’ll continue discussing my job in the next few days. The three of us then went somewhere to relax since our schedules for the afternoon were rapidly changed a while back. And then I go my first PAYSLIP today. Hurray! And then did more deliveries and some trade checks and then off to do some personal stuffs!
Earlier today, I found out through at text from Frank that our friend Omay was hospitalized because of Dengue. Donna and I planned to go together after her class. From work, I picked up my sister Kim from school, and then while waiting for Donna, we went on a little (mis)adventure in spite of the rainy weather.
Kim refused to bring an umbrella so she hijacked my oversized hoodie jacket instead.
My sister pretended to be shy to take photos for her first time at People’s Park. But her true nature couldn’t stay in hiding for long.
From People’s Park, we met Donna and then headed out to the hospital to visit Omay. We found Abe there already. We talked for about half an hour or so, and I found out that Omay has (1) UTI (2) Pharyngitis – not sure about the spelling, and (3) Dengue. She’s been there since Wednesday night, the poor baby. I told her I’d try to visit tomorrow.
From DMSF, I brought Donna home and then Kim and I made a pit stop at Jude’s family’s gasoline station near SM to get the car filled up. Our baboy mode turned into full alert when we saw the convenience store, and decided to have dinner there. It turns out that while having dinner, my sister hid my phone in the Sprite Zeron talker in our table and completely forgot about it until we were halfway home already. I had to use my super powers to turn the car around and get back to Caltex as fast as I could dare. So much for reaching home by 7:30. We had to endure the traffic again on our way back.
It was a fun day despite the bad news about Omay. I’m so excited for the weekend since it’s going to be our baby shower for Baby Girl Senoy!
Random Phone Photos
August 27th, 2009 § Leave a Comment
After a long time, I am finally able to transfer my phone photos to dear lappy! Lemme share some random shots:
With my ugly sister. This was a couple of weeks after I came back from HK. We had our flu shots at the clinic of Coca-Cola Plant in Ulas. I was scared shit that time. I never liked needles and shots and all those BS.
Clockwise from L-R: (1)At the Coke Booth with Uncle John. Free cocktails for me! (2) “Rock Competition” by San Miguel. Directly on the other side is a “Dance Competition” sponsored by Coke. (3) I was able to see the Naliyagan Festival again after a few years when I went back to San Francisco for an overnight trip. It was my first long distance driving ever.
This isn’t just a ladder everyone. It actually converts into a chair! Pretty cool huh? This was at some booth in the Naliyagan Festival in Prosperidad.
Some time in early July. On the way to the car from getting our annual PE check up at UM Multi-Test. It was my first time to try Coke Sakto! Sakto!
My Work Area (formerly known as Study Table) LOL
Compiling my requirements for work. Got tired so I ended up in Chowking in SM. Afterwards, I went shopping. Those were the days.
My first work on a Saturday. I was invited to a “program” in Southwood that morning and I saw Pau and Sheila there. It was also a first to see Sheila in Pink! After lunch, I ended up doing nothing at the distributor’s office, but I didn’t have lunch until 5PM that day.
This was my bag then. Nothing in there but my wallet, comb, cellphones, ballpen and notebook. Now, this bag won’t do with all the documents I bring around with me.
Dad went home to celebrate Kim’s birthday. It’s my first time to drive the car all day with my dad around.
With my sister, the birthday girl. I think this was at Robinson’s Supermarket, right after we had lunch at Bigby’s in Torres.
